American Gladiators is an athletic competition game show where contestants, referred to as "contenders", competed against the show's titular Gladiators in a series of physical games called "events" with the goal to be crowned the Grand Champion at the end of the season and win thousands of dollars in cash and prizes. With Hulk Hogan, Laila Ali, Alex Castro, Al Kaplon. The series matched a cast of amateur athletes against each other, as well as against the show's own gladiators, in contests of strength and agility.
